Warehouse / Transport Administrator
Location: Grays, Essex
Working Hours: Monday–Friday 42.5hrs
Salary: £27,000-£30,000 DOE
Contract Type: Permanent

Key Purpose:

To provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of the depot. This includes accurate data processing, customer and supplier communication, logistics coordination, and supporting HR and health & safety activities.

The Role:

• Input and manage delivery notes, collections, and orders via the ERP system (E-pack) and customer portals.
• Maintain accurate records using Excel and ensure timely data entry across platforms.
• Organise office documentation and provide general administrative assistance.
• Support logistics by handling shipping documents and assisting truck drivers with loading/unloading coordination.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels; report stock counts to the Site Manager.
• Serve as a primary contact for customers and suppliers via phone and email, ensuring prompt and professional communication.
• Welcome visitors and clients, ensuring a professional and friendly front-of-house presence.
• Support HR processes including time & attendance tracking, sick leave records, and maintaining payroll data.
• Update training records and manage the training matrix for new and existing staff.
• Log safety incidents, near-misses, and Bsafe entries in FastWorks and support ongoing safety initiatives.
• Perform general administrative duties including document filing, batch status reporting, and responding to queries.

The Person:

• Previous experience in administrative roles within a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with ERP systems (training provided).
• Strong attention to detail, highly organised, and confident working with numerical data.
• Proactive, hands-on, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, with a structured and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Respectful, results-driven, and committed to continuous improvement.
