Are you looking for a physically engaging role with a dynamic team? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finished Goods Operative to join our Finished Goods Department in Hyde. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the picking, packing, and preparation of fabric cut lengths while ensuring orders are completed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Picking and Packing: Your primary responsibility will be to accurately pick and scan orders within Supermarket Stores, ensuring that all goods are securely packed to prevent damage during transit.
Receiving Deliveries: Assist in receiving deliveries, booking them in, and ensuring they are correctly put away in our inventory.
Stock Management: Daily stock replenishment of fabric and components, including regular cycle counting to maintain inventory accuracy.
Quality Control: Complete cut length orders to customer specifications, inspecting fabric and making necessary allowances to meet quality standards.
Organization: Properly label and mark up packages, and ensure stock in the cut length department is stored appropriately to prevent damage and color contamination.
Workplace Maintenance: Maintain a clean and tidy workspace, adhering to the Company's Health and Safety standards as outlined in our Health and Safety Policy.
Flexibility: Be prepared to assist in other departments as needed to support the overall operations of the company.
Essential Criteria:
Physical Fitness: A good level of physical fitness is required, as this role involves manual handling.
Communication Skills: Strong literacy, numeracy, and communication skills are essential for completing paperwork accurately and working effectively within the team.
Deadline-Oriented: Ability to meet deadlines and ensure that orders are completed on time.
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is crucial to maintain the quality and accuracy of our orders.
