Branch Assistant - Hull (HU9) - £25,397/yr

About the Role

We're looking for a friendly, organised Branch Assistant to join our busy Hull branch. You'll be part of a well-established, supportive team, helping deliver great service to customers - both trade and retail - across our refrigeration & spares wholesale business.

Location: Hull, HU9,

Salary: £25,397 per year (plus holiday pay & benefits)

What You'll Be Doing

• Serve customers at the trade counter - in person, by phone, and by email.
  

• Advise customers on products from our full portfolio so you can match the right part to their needs.
  

• Handle picking, packing and preparing orders for customer collection or for delivery loading.
  

• Maintain stock levels: monitor, receive deliveries, store and organise inventory - plus assist with regular stock-takes.
  

• Deal with returns or warranty parts quickly and according to policy.
  

• Keep the branch clean, tidy and organised - trade-counter area, warehouse stock, and customer zones.
  

• Liaise professionally with customers, suppliers and colleagues to ensure orders, quotations, and customer queries are handled promptly and accurately.

• Occasional Out Of Hours on call (£75 payment for being on call),

What We're Looking For

• Good standard of education (GCSE level or equivalent), especially Maths and English.
  

• Strong customer service skills and a "customer-first" attitude - you'll be dealing with trade-clients, contractors, and retail customers.
  

• Ability to multitask: handling phones, stock picking/packing, counter service, emails - sometimes under pressure and to deadlines.

• Reliable, punctual, and a team player; able to work on your own initiative when required.
  

• Previous experience in a warehouse, retail counter, parts-sales or similar role is advantageous, but not essential.
