Our Client is a leading automotive interior design and manufacturing company specializing in crafting high-quality, luxurious car interiors. We are currently seeking a skilled and talented Automotive Leather Upholsterer to join our team.

Job Summary
As an Automotive Leather Upholsterer, you will be responsible for creating exceptional car interiors by skillfully wrapping leather materials onto various components, such as seats, door panels, consoles, and other interior surfaces. You will collaborate with our design and production teams to ensure that our customers receive top-of-the-line automotive interiors that exude sophistication and comfort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wrap and upholster car interior components, ensuring a precise fit and a seamless finish.
  • Install leather upholstery onto door panels, consoles, and other surfaces, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Collaborate with the design team to select suitable leather materials, colors, and textures to achieve desired aesthetics.
  • Adhere to quality standards and specifications to deliver flawless automotive interiors.
  • Conduct inspections to identify and resolve any issues or defects in the upholstery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring efficient workflow and safety.
 
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Automotive Leather Upholsterer or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive upholstery techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and sewing leather materials.
  • Attention to detail and excellent craftsmanship to deliver precise and flawless finishes.
  • Ability to interpret design specifications and translate them into outstanding upholstery work.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and practices in the automotive industry.
Hours of Work;
  • Working hours upon successful completion of training: 06:00-14:00 & 15:15-23:15 rotation
Rates of Pay
  • on rotation - £12.63
  • Overtime after 40 hours (Monday-Friday) - x1.5 normal hourly rate
  • Saturday Overtime - x1.5 normal hourly rate
  • Sunday Overtime - x2.0 normal hourly rate
