As a busy company covering various roles and areas we fill many roles everyday so we thought it would be great to share some of our team’s successes each month!
Here is what has been happening in November:
Number of candidates: Part 1 & 2 scaffolders and COTS labourers. X12 candidates in total
Our London team has been tasked to find a total of 12 candidates for 4 different projects in London (North, East, South West, South East). We have found all of them and the client has been delighted. They are now going to transfer the workers onto other projects as the candidates have been doing an excellent job! Massive thank you goes to Catia and Maria. They were constantly sourcing the best candidates to fulfil client’s requirements. Also a huge thank you goes to Lucille for her excellent people skills and teamwork.
New multi-national client
Number of candidates: X30 new starters required at short notice
Sector: Supply Chain
Due to being let down by their current supplier our new multi-national client requested 30 candidates to start within a week. Due to the location of the client, large volume recruitment can be difficult. However with hard work, determination and a few late evenings all 30 roles were filled. Our client, impressed by the effort and commitment from branch, have given us all future bookings. Great work all round from a branch less than a year old!
E-Commerce Customer Service & Distribution
Number of candidates: x41 Customer Service Advisors
Our Commercial team has helped recruit over 40 Customer Service Advisors in less than a week, in preparation for Black Friday and the build up to Christmas. This has been for a variety of shifts including Nights and Weekends, and has involved our experienced team (Jenny and April) complete onsite inductions, check-ins and site surgery’s. This number is expected to grow at this client and others, as companies require additional support to see them through the busy festive period.
National 3PL Logistics Company
Number of candidates: 7x Class 2 drivers
We had a request for 7 additional drivers for one day to assist with a new store opening for a large retail chain. Proman covered all 7 drivers plus 5 regular requirements. 12 drivers in total on a Monday. Great work from the team, however…
Late on Sunday night, the store opening was pushed back to Thursday. All 7 drivers needed to be stood down. Some were reorganised for Thursday. Those that were not available were replaced. 100% of shifts fulfilled and the store is stocked in time for opening.
A great example of the flexibility that comes with using an agency supplier and the reliability and service that can be expected if that agency is Proman.
Number of candidates: Operations Director
Clare Butler, Lead Consultant of Proman UK’s Manufacturing Division, successfully placed an Operations Director this week at our prestigious client in Kent. The candidate has been tasked with heading up our Clients’ Refrigeration/Air Conditioning Installation and Commissioning unit, with the ultimate aim of growing the business.
The nature of this requirement is typical of the kind of role our experienced Appointments team recruit for on a daily basis, from Middle Management upto Director level across Manufacturing and Warehousing.
Number of candidates: Health and Safety Manager
Sector: Food & FMCG
Phil Hardy, Branch Manager of our Food & FMCG division, placed a Health and Safety Manager at our multi-national food manufacturing client based in the East Midlands.
The candidate will oversee a revamp of our client’s H&S policies and will be responsible for managing fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases.
Phil regularly recruits for roles within Food manufacturing, from SME’s through to multi-national blue-chip clients. Roles include Production & Operations, Technical, Quality, Engineering and R&D.
E-Retailer of Men’s’ Fashion Wear
Number of candidates: An additional 45 warehouse operatives (for their pick/pack operation) to cover additional volumes over Black Friday promotions/
Sector: Logistics / Warehousing
With focussed advertising and recruitment that started 2 weeks before the first introductions were due, we started to actually introduce additional workers across 2 shifts from the week before Black Friday to allow training and integration with the majority then starting in Black Friday week.
Following the completion of their promotions our client had this to say…
“I just wanted to say thank you for the quality of the temps that you have brought to us over cyber weekend. They have been a great bunch of people, willing to work, no bad attitudes and have worked hard and done the hours requested.
Once again from being introduced to Proman…you have delivered once again for a second successive year for me as an Operations Manager.
I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for all your hard work as without you guys, we would not have had as successful cyber weekend as we have done.
To put it in perspective, the teams that you have supplied have allowed us to clear 20,000 units within 48 hours, so we will finish our 10pm shift tonight totally clear of any black Friday backlog.”
National Food Manufacturing Business
Number of candidates: Additional 70 Food Production Operatives
Our long serving client chose to condense their Peak period as part of a cost management exercise. The result of this was that PROMAN had a much reduced period of time to recruit the required number of Food Production Operatives in order for them to fulfil their plan. With our knowledge of the tightening labour market we devised a new way of generating enough suitable labour and managed to source, induct and complete on-boarding for an additional 70 workers across both days and nights shifts. Communication with our contacts at our client has always been excellent and this is key to the success of our partnership with them.
