As a busy company covering various roles and areas we fill many roles everyday so we thought it would be great to share some of our team’s successes each month!

Here is what has been happening in December:

UK Haulier and Distributor

Number of candidates: Driver Support for Peak Critical Contract. 15 Rising to 28 Assigned in Busiest Week.

Sector: Driving and Logistics

We support a Client in the Northwest who has a particularly time-sensitive, critical contract to support their customer. The work is annual and typically commences mid-November. After taking the initial forecast and booking 10 drivers to work consistently until the final week of December, the volumes shifted significantly. So much so that all 10 Drivers had to be cancelled and delayed to start for a week. The Northwest team contacted all the required drivers and reassigned them to other work. No sooner had this been completed, our Client contacted us again to advise that volumes had changed again and the work was back on, requiring 6 drivers initially. The team successfully found the six drivers required, and as volumes increased were able to assign the 10 originally scheduled to start the following week. The total number of drivers assigned in the last week of November was 28. A superb effort at such a critical time of year!

Ten Food Production Operatives supplied to a new client at short notice.

Number of candidates: Driver Support for Peak Critical Contract. 15 Rising to 28 Assigned in Busiest Week.

Sector: Food Manufacturing

Just over a week ago we received a call from a potential new client whose PSL had been unable to provide ten Food Production Operatives despite being given three weeks’ notice. It was critical that these positions were filled to ensure that clients seasonal orders were met.

Within the week we had successfully provided the required numbers (and some additional) who had all been fully inducted and Food Hygiene Level 2 trained. The client commented that they were extremely impressed with the responsiveness, professionalism, and application shown by the team.

FLT Drivers

Number of candidates: x4 FLT Drivers

Sector: Warehousing/ Distribution

Our long-standing client contacted us with a requirement for 4 new, experienced and multi-skilled FLT drivers for a new project they will be implementing the following week.. At such short notice the Liverpool office reacted with their foothold within the Merseyside and Wirral areas. Labour in the area is particularly tight, especially at this time of year. Within a few days, 4 experienced and desirable drivers had passed their inductions and had started their shift pattern, contributing to the start of the new project.

National Retail Distribution Centre

Number of candidates: 14 order pickers

Sector: Supermarket

We have quite a new relationship with a client in the South Yorkshire area and having taken on 9 of our staff members the week before on a permanent basis they required help with order pickers after another labour supplier wasn’t able to fulfil their requirement. The process is 5 tier. Phone interview, face to face meeting, site tour, work trial and final interview with the warehouse manager. The process is stringent and only top quality applicants make it through to be offered a position. This particular recruitment process is laborious and time-consuming, but within 11 days from the first telephone interview (including some very late nights!) we were able to successfully place all 14 staff members who now have a fulltime role with fantastic prospects for the future. Also at this time of year when labour is particularly tight this was nothing short of a Christmas miracle.
