It’s Zombie Awareness Month, the perfect time to ensure work isn’t making you, or your employees, feel like a member of the undead.

Job roles come in all shapes and sizes, but something most will be able to relate to is sometimes feeling zombie-like. Whether it is because of constant paperwork or doing the same task repeatedly, we all have moments of feeling like the undead!

Naturally, tedious tasks are a part of life, both personally and professionally, but if you want to take charge and break free from the deathly grip of running on autopilot, try some of our tips:

Adopt a healthy work/life balance

At Proman, we understand the importance of a healthy work/life balance. Here’s some ways you can perfect your balance and avoid falling into unhealthy patterns:

  • Before work, take fifteen minutes to do something you enjoy. Whether it’s watching a funny video, reading a book or going for a stroll, it can help give you a more motivated, positive start to your day.
     

  • Make sure that you get some time away from work during your break – even if it’s a short walk to the shops. Fresh air and vitamin D can do wonders for your mood, and easily take you from feeling like the living dead to a productive, content (and fully alive) human.
     

  • When you leave work, make sure you are actually leaving. Try to avoid involving yourself in work matters when you are not physically there (if possible, of course). Being able to switch off and have true time away is hugely helpful in balancing your work time and leisure time.
