The Company
Our client are specialists in the design and manufacture of high-technology instrumentation of continous stack emission monitoring, road tunnel atmosphere sensing and plant safety equipment. Due to business expansion, they are now recruiting Warehouse Store Operative/FLT Driver.
Location: Bakewell- DE45
Hours of work
Shift: Monday to Friday; 08:30-16:30
Pay Rates
Ø Monday to Friday rate £10.58 p/h
Ø Saturday rate £15.87 p/h
Ø Sunday rate £21.16 p/h
Ø Overtime rates are applicable on rest days at £15.15 p/h (Mon-Sat) and £20.20 p/h (Sun)
Night shift 18:00-06:00:
Ø Monday to Friday rate £13.20 p/h
Ø Saturday & BH rate £18.70 p/h
Ø Sunday rate £24.20 p/h
The Role
• Take delivery of goods and supplies
• Check for damaged or missing items
• Maintain organised quarantine area for goods from suppliers with quality issues
• Locate and store goods appropriately within the warehouse
• Pick production orders according to the Production Schedule
• Notify Purchasing of stock shortages
• Pick off-the-shelf items for orders according to the Production Schedule
• Move stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift truck (desirable)
• Input data regarding stock and inventory into a computerised system
• Keep accurate stock records
• Carry out stock counts as and when required
• Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others
• Handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner
• Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency
• Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value
• Creates and maintains excellent working relationships with all areas of the business
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies as and when required in a timely way
• Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures
• Engages interest and participation of others and has a collaborative approach to working together
• Ensures the QA documentation covering Stores is kept up to date with the latest procedures

Desirable:
• A forklift truck licence and/or licence to drive assisted lift equipment is preferred
• Experience of using SAP B1
• Previous experience of working in a Warehouse environment
