Experienced Recruitment Consultant (sectors: Food & FMCG, Warehousing & Logistics,Manufacturing or Commercial)

Salary: £35K-£40K OTE (YEAR 1), basicsalary; up to £28K (depending on experience), NO THRESHOLDS, internal and external training and other benefits


Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Location: Heywood

Our Appointments team are currently offering a fantastic opportunity for an Experienced Recruitment Consultant who is an expert in recruitment to either Food & FMCG sector, Warehousing and Logistics, Manufacturing or Commercial field. We are looking for an experienced professional who will be knowledgeable of one of the sectors mentioned and who would be able to maintain and develop our current desks in these vertical markets.  You will be mainly working on all levels of jobs - permanent vacancies to make sure that our clients’ expectations are being met. You may also work on some contract/ temporary roles if required.

The Candidate

Successful candidates will have the following skills, experiences and attributes… 

  • Previous experience from Food & FMCG, Warehousing &Logistics, Manufacturing or Commercial

  • Professional telephone manner and appearance

  • Excellent standard of spoken and written English

  • Must have an engaging personality with ability to build rapport and trust

  • An ambitious and competitive nature

  • Confident, money motivated, results driven, determined, outgoing with engaging personality

  • Full driving licence and ideally own transport is required as the role will involve occasional travel to clients’ meetings

  • Excellent work ethic

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Must have excellent organisational skills with the ability to run multiple projects

  • Experienced Recruiter with good track record and expertise in its field

Experienced Recruitment Consultant (Food &FMCG or Warehousing &Logistics, Manufacturing or Commercial)

The Role

The role is to contribute to the achievement of high gross margins while actively managing the database of candidates to ensure the very best of service to clients and candidates alike.  

Your main responsibilities will include…

  • Developing effective working relationships with existing and new customers

  • Managing the recruitment cycle from attracting candidates to placement with the client

  • Assessing and evaluating candidates

  • Achieve or exceed targets and objectives

  • Preparing candidates CVs, Job Specifications, Adverts and other paper work required

  • Presenting candidates to clients with recommendation and supporting evidence

  • Assigning candidates to permanent and temporary positions

  • Rates negotiations with the clients

  • Daily review of new applicants and searching for potential candidates by using Internet based sources

  • Communicating with both existing and new clients including arranging and attending clients’ visits to understand requirements and negotiate fees

This is not a pure sales role but the candidate would need to be commercially aware and confident as the role does involve calling clients regarding current and future requirements. You will be joining a very well-established team with a strong client data base and good reputation in a particular vertical market. The role, however will still require you to develop the market further and the candidate will be required to work with vacancies coming from both existing and new clients.
