Job Title: Quality Assurance Auditor
Salary : £11.31ph
Monday to Friday 2pm-10pm
Location: Elland
We are working alongside a Global Food Manufacturing Company who are looking for a Quality Assurance Auditor. The successful candidate will be working directly alongside the Quality Assurance and Technical Team and working closely with the operational team to ensure the standards relating to food safety, quality, legality, and integrity are adhered to at all times.
Ensuring all products on site are taste panelled and sent for microbiological analysis as required following on site procedures and customer requirements.
Active involvement in onsite audits where required as well as conducting internal quality audits.
Note: The role entails tasting products to ensure that these meet the specification in place, for the avoidance of doubt this involves the employee personally tasting meat & dairy products including non-vegan foods & also products containing alcohol.
The successful candidate: -
- Have an eye for detail and the determination and patience to complete jobs to a high standard within tight timescales is essential.
- Be an effective communicator, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Have commitment to quality and customer care will be expected.
- Be it literate with strong Microsoft skills.
- Be willing to work as part of a team and have a flexible approach to the working hours due to business requirements.
- Have a good attendance record.
- Be able to keep calm under pressure, whilst being assertive and tenacious when dealing with issues

Role and Responsibilities
- Online Checks in all areas to demonstrate all required steps in the process are under control.
- Competency Audits to verify operatives understanding & adherence to CCP’s & other key procedure.
- Verification of equipment used to monitor food safety & quality parameters.
- GMP/Hygiene Audits of all areas.
- Glass and Hard Plastic Audits.
- Environmental Sampling of areas and equipment (Environmental / Listeria / Water / Air plates).
- ACS Dashboard monitoring & online audits.
- Technical Schedule completion.
- Review & scanning of QA paperwork/required factory paperwork.
- Collation of reference samples (factory & investigation purposes).
- Raise & follow up on identified non-conformities.
- Active involvement in Non-Conformance/Customer complaint investigations where required.
- QA Stock Count.
- Cleaning (QA Area, relevant QA equipment).
- Replenishing Ph solutions.
- Sign off the QA Duties List as tasks are completed.
- Taste Panel and end of life panels following site procedures including collation and dispatch of samples to an external lab for analysis.
- Transport sign off.
- Positive release testing of products carrying a Gluten Free claim.
- Internal Audits (where trained & documented as a team Member).
- Actively takes part in external audits on site as required.
- Covering additional QA duties outside task list to cover other tasks during periods of absence and/or illness)
- Any other project deemed fit by the QA Manager/QA Supervisor
