Proman is working with a Global manufacturing business based in Eastbourne to appoint a Purchasing Co-Ordinator. This role is a temporary role for a minimum of 6 months. This role can be remote after a period of training that will be site based in Eastbourne.

 

Purchasing Co-Ordinator

You will be an excellent communicator with strong IT skills. High proficiency of MS Excel is essential for this role. You will be working closely with the Mechanical Buyers and the suppliers to push or bring forward orders in accordance with the demand. Therefore, experience of communicating at all levels is also essential for this role.

 

Main duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Liaise and advise with Suppliers daily via email and phone regarding orders
  • Reschedule of orders that have been pushed back
  • Expedite orders when required
  • Update the internal database once spoken with suppliers regarding orders and delivery dates
  • Advise suppliers of demand and lead times
  • Work closely with the Buyers to ensure order accuracy

 

Purchasing Co-Ordinator

 

Key job requirements:

 

  • Educated to GCSE / A level
  • Minimum of 12 months years’ experience within manufacturing organisation  
  • Previous experience using SAP or other ERP / MRP systems is desirable
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with MS Office utilities including, Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Must be proactive, self-motivated and work unsupervised
