Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

The Role

You will be working in a fast-paced production environment servicing and repairing napkin production machinery and equipment. You will be doing all preventative and reactive maintenance on the machinery, working in a 15-person team across a 6 Acre site.

Main Responsibilities

  • Preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Set, service and repair machinery
  • Constant adjustment of the machines to guarantee efficiency and quality of the products
  • Frequent change of references
  • making scheduled checks on machinery and parts
  • finding and fixing faults, and setting the production line
  • Oiling and cleaning machinery and parts
  • Carrying out scheduled overhaul and replacing parts that have reached the end of their working life.
  • Responding immediately to machinery breakdowns
  • Fixing faults
  • You will use manufacturer's technical manuals and diagrams to help locate faults and the guidance of experienced senior engineers working with you.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

The Candidate

  • Must have experience of being a Mechanical Engineer in a Manufacturing environment
  • Desirable to have worked on napkin / tissue machinery
  • Work well under pressure
  • Must be good working in a team
  • Good communication
  • Good organisation
  • Personable
  • Relevant engineering qualification is essential
