Job Title: Health & Safety Manager
Location: Normanton, West Yorkshire
Salary: Dependant on Experience
Hours: Monday – Thursday 7.15am – 5pm, Friday 7.15am – 12.30pm

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HSE Manager. Reporting to the Installations Director the successful candidate
will be responsible for the effective management of health and safety across all sectors of the business, planning and delivery
of ISO 45001 ensuring that all legislative requirements are adhered to; and to also ensure that environmental systems are in
place (ISO 14001) and comply with current legislation.

The Candidate

⦁ I.O.S.H. / N.E.B.O.S.H. qualified/certification
⦁ Proven track record with experience in similar role/environment
⦁ Able to demonstrate initiative, excellent organisation skills of self and others within a demanding, changing environment
⦁ Knowledge and experience of ISO 45001 and 14001
⦁ Constructive and solution-based approach
⦁ Experience fast paced manufacturing environment
⦁ Previous experience in Engineering / Manufacturing
⦁ Experience in staff training and development
⦁ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
⦁ Flexible/resilient

The Role

⦁ Developing, maintaining and updating internal policies and procedures for both Health and Safety and Environment
⦁ Being up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all HSE developments that affect the Industry
⦁ Carry out regular audit checks & inspections to ensure procedures are being properly maintained; compliance and action
carried out
⦁ Keeping and maintaining of records of inspection findings and non-conformances; suggesting improvements and producing monthly reports and summaries for senior management
⦁ Working with legal advisors/accreditation bodies ensuring accreditations are maintained
⦁ Ensuring the safe installation of equipment
⦁ Carry out and update Risk Assessments
⦁ Advising on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, noise, safeguarding machinery, occupational diseases etc
⦁ Leading in house training with managers and employees; developing training modules on HSE and monitoring effectiveness
⦁ Effective accident management to include corrective and preventative actions, recording of incidents and accident and Producing statistics for management.
⦁ Leading the 6S Lean processes within the business
