Construction Site Manager
Degree level qualification- Engineering, Project Management or Construction Plus 8 yrs relevant Construction Site Management experience, or, HNC or equivalent Plus 10yrs relevant Construction Site Management experience.
Familiarity with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM 2015)
Ability to interpret engineering construction drawings and to explain technical details/requirements to operatives
Confined space entry (knowledge of requirements)

Recognise at all times, without exception, site safety for all personnel is an absolute requirement.
Ensure all operatives receive the Client site inductions prior to first starting work.
Ensure appropriate first aid resources and facilities are available at all times when construction work is being carried out.
Review, approve/reject, as appropriate, all Risk Assessments and Method Statements well before the work is carried out.
Conduct daily joint contractor meetings.
Streamline contractor meetings to maintain relevance for associated contractor or work interface contractors, whilst minimising unnecessary contractor meeting involvement.
Understand and ensure compliance with all necessary permit to work requirements.
Ensure all site safety requirements are understood and strictly adhered to.
Ensure all individual contractor management teams understand, impose and provide ongoing management of site and specific engineering discipline safety requirements and standards.
Carry out formal, weekly site and equipment inspections and maintain records of these inspections on site
Ensure the Construction H&S Plan required under CDM is kept up to date and that its requirements are fully complied with.
Co-operate and liaise with the Principal Designer to enable all legal requirements under CDM to be complied with.
Ensure contractor operatives comply with PPE requirements, either site standard or task/permit specific.
Ensure all contractor management teams carry out regular toolbox refresher talks.
Scrutinise, reject/accept as appropriate, all appropriate equipment safety certification.
Scrutinise and maintain copies of appropriate documentation on site.
Ensure planned activities on site are only undertaken by suitably trained and competent personnel.
Scrutinise and maintain on site copies of appropriate training certification.
Ensure the appropriate prevention measures are implemented to avoid adverse environmental impact associated with all construction activities.
