Compliance Specialist

Salary: £50,000

The Role

You will be providing objective advice on compliance-related matters, providing expert knowledge on all subject matters. From your input and support, the Technical Authority will be able to sign off all released products. Your objective is to interpret the product standards and compliance, with the aim of determining the impact and application to the company.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provision of guidance and hands on support, to lead engineers and project managers on determination and route to achieving product compliance for new products.
  • Provision of guidance and hands on support, to product maintenance group on maintaining product compliance for already commercialised products considering ongoing changes in law, standards and engineering change.
  • Responsible for creating, providing, or organising training to improve the knowledge base and enable a highly capable and skilled team in relation to compliance.
  • Responsible for developing employee awareness and detailed understanding of compliance obligations and directing them to meet requirements.
  • Providing employees with access to resources on compliance procedures and references.

The Candidate

  • A good Engineering degree.
  • Substantial length of experience of working in engineering, product development and/or and product compliance.
  • Substantial length of experience of working in engineering, product development and/or and product compliance.
  • Experience with regards to achieving or maintaining product compliance to achieve CE mark.
  • Experience with regards to achieving or maintaining product compliance for Global Markets, for example US, China, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Machinery Directive and other EU directives related to CE marking.
  • Working knowledge of EN/ISO/BS/UL standards and can demonstrate application in previous roles.
  • Good level of hands-on experience in achieving or maintaining product compliance for capital size machinery or industrial equipment.
  • Self-motivated, positive, and resourceful.
