Coatings Applicator/ Shot Blaster                                                                                                                    

The Candidate

You will have worked in a similar role before within an engineering or manufacturing environment. You will also have the following skills, experiences or attributes...

Successful candidate must  have previous experience in similar position e.g. shot blasting, spray painting, coating

Working knowledge of engineering environment

Good engineering knowledge/skills required - working to quality standards and work procedures ,   assembly work may also be required with components

Need a can do approach  -  flexible working will be required on a  daily/weekly basis,

Clean & presentable appearance   -    good documention skills required

Must be in good  physical health -  demanding position with some lifting involved,  mainly using mechanical aids.

Organised -  be able to work to agreed time scales/schedules

The Role

You will work in a busy and moder manufacturing environment from the company's purpose built production facility. Your main roles and responsibilities will include...

Preparation of various components  - shafts, impellers,  parts off industrial water, chemical & vacuum pumps

Prepare components for coating to required standard  -  mask,  grit blast in blast cabin, check cleanliness of components using test equipment

Record product usage, work to dimensions and follow application instructions

Coating of products by hand ensuring a smooth and consistent finish in line with the application instructions.

Moving of equipment using overhead cranes

Other duties to assist in the repair of rotating equipment - working as part of a busy team
