Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

Shifts: Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 17:00 & Friday 08:00 - 15:30

CNC Lathe Turner

Main Responsibilities

  • Operate Doosan Lynx 300 Lathe
  • Logging on off and keeping booking of operations up to date
  • Checking Parts and segregating Non conformances
  • Notifying Supervisor/Manager when parts are non-conformance.
  • Working safely
  • Keep up housekeeping standards in line with 5’S program
  • Ensuring machines are topped up with oil and coolant
  • Keeping machining area free of swarf
  • Sorting and locating materials ready for machining
  • Use of manual handling equipment where required
  • Use of forklift trucks where required
  • Carrying out secondary operations to prepare parts for final despatch
  • Completing daily machine maintenance logbook
  • Ensuring tooling data base is up to date and accurate.
  • Any other tasks Set by Supervisor or Management

The Candidate

  • Must have experience operating CNC Doosan Lynx Lathe
  • Experienced in Engineering Plastics Machining And Advanced Material Types.
  • A Positive Attitude Towards And Be Activly Involved In Quality ,Health And Safety,Environmental And Continuous Improvement Activities as part of manufacturing excelence program.
  • Able to work accuratly and efficiently as part of a team and Independently on own Initiative.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good time keeping Standards.
  • Computer literate
  • Able to interperate Engineering Drawing For Manufacturing.
  • Operating a range of CNC and specialist plastic / equipment.
  • GCSE Maths,English or equivalent
