Job Title: Assistant Quality Manager
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
Salary: £28000 to £28000
Hours: Monday – Friday 8AM – 5PM
⦁ A clear understanding of the current version BRC food safety and Storage and Distribution is required.
⦁ To update SOP’s and Work instructions within the Quality manual
⦁ The creation and completing of internal Audits as prescribed by the audit schedule, ensure a full and in-depth report is produced allowing 2 hours to complete the task. These are to be monitored on the bowling chart and KPI improvement targets assigned on a yearly basis.
⦁ Staff training on new or amended SOP’s and work instructions, completing the relevant training document records.
⦁ Have a clear understanding of HACCP in the work place and be able to apply this to production lines running within the factory.
⦁ Be an active member of the HACCP team.
⦁ Create and issue Non-conformances to the relevant department, working with them to help find solution and resolve any issues to a satisfactory level allowing validation and closed out.
⦁ Head improvements in the company via Quality Assurance and KPI targets and continuous improvements of them.
⦁ To complete daily walk around to ensure all products are produced to the correct standards and line are set up to the required standard.
⦁ To ensure that the site is clean and tidy for customer visits and any questions asked by the customer are answered as full and accurately as possible.
⦁ Ensure that Team Leaders have samples or QAS documents on line as a reference to the customer’s expectation on all jobs that have run previously.
⦁ To ensure the job bag written instructions are being followed.
⦁ To ensure pest control monitoring system and documents are up to date.
⦁ Ensure that Team Leaders are completing the QA checks in accordance with the time set out in the job bag. (PC3)
⦁ Work with Team Leaders to ensure that they understand fully the procedures, traceability and quality standards.
⦁ Strive to ensure continuous improvements within the work place.
⦁ Check and challenge team leaders on the CCP’s daily
⦁ Cover for the Quality Coordinators holidays ensuring any critical jobs are completed.
⦁ Assist Group Quality Manager with customer audits and traceability exercises.
