Job Title: Assembly & Despatch Supervisor

Location: North Manchester

Salary: £29120 to £31200 28 Days Holiday, Contributory Pension, Free Parking

Hours: 8am - 4.30pm (Fri 1.30pm)

Assembly Supervisor                                                                                                                                              

We are currently recruiting for an Assembly & Despatch Supervisor for a North Manchester based manufacturing company.

The Candidate

To be considered for the role of Assembly Supervisor, you will need the following:

  • Previous experience in a Supervisory capacity within a similar environment – Fabrication, Sheet Metal for example.
  • Responsible for a team of 4
  • Ensure products are assembled to drawing and to the highest possible Quality Standard.
  • Able to manage and motivate a team to achieve targets
  • IT literate

The Role

  • Ensure products are assembled to drawing and to the highest possible Quality Standard.
  • Check that stock is managed and appropriately booked into the ERP system and ensure goods are shipped out on time.
  • Strive to reduce shipping cost though Continuous Improvement and through negotiating best possible pricing with forwarders.
  • Implement and apply 5S and coach the team ensuring 5S is Sustained.
  • Be a Safety champion and your working day is prioritised in SQCDG order. You own the site's Delivery metric and will report progress monthly during our Monthly Operating Reviews
