Area Sales Engineer

The Role

My client holds the UK majority share in the manufacture of filling and depositing equipment, supplying into the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. You will be tasked with continuing their growth, finding new customers and developing their existing accounts in the South West region.


Area Sales Engineer

Main Responsibilities

  • Developing existing accounts
  • Finding new customers to supply too
  • Providing technical knowledge of the equipment to customers
  • Liaising with the Design Engineers to build equipment for customer specification
  • Updating CRM
  • Provide machine specification documents
  • Provide customer quotation documents
  • Travel to company site for monthly meetings


Area Sales Engineer

The Candidate

  • Must be from a customer facing / engineering background
  • Must have a solid understanding of fluids, air locks, vacuums, pumps, rotary equipment, conveyors, packaging machinery.
  • Ideally have an engineering degree or other relevant qualification
  • Must be able to comfortably explain customer specifications to the design team
  • Must be pragmatic, personable, proactive and responsible.
