HGV Class 1 weekend drivers
Number of candidates: Additional cover for Friday to Monday Peak working time periods
A long-term client based out in the Heywood area has recently taken on additional weekend trunking work. The client in the past has had to be reactive rather than pro-active towards this work. Proman consultants Liam Caulfield and David Farrer suggested having a team of drivers that would be able to work Friday to Monday who could work as shunters if the trunking work did not materialise. This has been trialled over the past month and has now become a regular shift pattern.

A long-term client called our On-call mobile on Sunday & asked our Account Manager, Monika, to help him out of a big hole. Their client had brought their order deadline forward unexpectedly. As a result, he needed an additional 10 candidates for Monday morning and a further 8 candidates for Monday night. Not for the first time, this client needed our support at the weekend and again we managed to deliver what he needed in order to hit his order deadline. All in a day’s work in the world of Supply Chain.

Our long-term client asked for 22 new workers to start week commencing 8th October. Our colleague Dorota supported by other team members delivered excellent service to make it happen. Since January this year we have (so far) supplied our client with 660 new starters. These workers are recruited and selected by our experienced on-site team that then monitor their performance and support the workers on a daily basis. It looks like we may be breaking a record this year as our client has confirmed a requirement for other 200+staff to start in coming weeks with requirements for December still to come. Well done Dorota and the team for providing an excellent on-site service!

Our new client said it best…”Over recent weeks we’ve thrown some challenges your way…but, the way that your guys have managed this shouldn’t go unmentioned, I can see the effort Heads (Proman) are putting into managing this account and the extra effort is starting to pay dividends by the way we are now training and filling spaces as we always planned…”

Number of candidates: X30 new starters
Within our first two weeks of service for a new client in Liverpool we have supplied 30 Pickers/FLT drivers & also 5 Class 1 drivers to support the aggressive increase in labour they require to contribute to the output for the DC nationally. Labour in the area is particularly tight, especially at this time of year. With this over the last two weeks the team have all pulled together during and out of office hours. By screening, registering and offering starts to suitable candidates to meet the deadlines. Within the first two weeks of service, the client has been extremely impressed with the level of service, calibre of candidate, and the level of support and reaction PROMAN have provided them through a challenging recruitment drive. Following this the client has requested 40 new starters this week, with that increasing to 50 new starters a week ongoing. This has resulted in an Onsite Co-Ordinator being appointed; Mariusz Pikul, to assist with onsite support and co-ordination.
Manufacturing and Production, Oldham
Number of candidates: x 108 additional new starters
Our long term client informed us that there volumes will be increasing due to work being moved to their site from one of their factories in Europe. We weren’t given a set number of operatives to recruit for and on the following Thursday we were asked for 25 new starters for the following Monday in a skilled assembly role. This is an area where volume recruitment is difficult and success was only achieved by the commitment of our team working additional hours over the evenings and weekend. We had 25 out of 25 new starters start on the Monday with a further 83 starting over the following 6 weeks. Our client are extremely happy with the level of service, level of candidate, and the level of support PROMAN have given them through a stressful period of growth.
