As a busy company covering various roles and areas we fill many roles everyday so we thought it would be great to share some of our team’s successes each month!

Here is what has been happening this New Year:

Project based in Cambridge

Number of candidates: Ten ground workers and machine operators to start at short notice.

Sector: Construction

Our Client had asked for assistance with their staffing requirements. We were working to a tight deadline. The team of 10 Ground Workers and Machine Operators started on a project in Cambridge. The project started in December 2018 and will finish in February 2019. All recruited candidates are blue card holders, and are skilled and competent workers. We have reacted to our client’s expectation very quickly, and skilled staff were recruited at short notice.

Home Delivery Company

Number of candidates: 2x Driver 2x Mates

Sector: Supply Chain

Proman Bristol had been referred by an existing client to a nationally recognised home delivery company. The new company had issues with its current PSL and their lack of communication & poor quality of candidates. Proman delivered 4 temps (2x Drivers & 2x mates) to start within a week. It is great to see the team’s hard work with current clients translating into new business for the company and new opportunities for our workers.

Packaging Company

Number of candidates: QHSE Manager

Sector: Manufacturing

Our multi-site manufacturing client sought a QHSE Manager to manage the company’s Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety policies based in East Yorkshire.

The candidate will maintain and develop the site’s ISO9001, ISO14001, BRC & FSC accreditations whilst utilising their NEBOSH, IEMA and Six Sigma Green Belt credentials.

Lead Consultant for our Manufacturing division, Clare Butler, headed up the recruitment campaign for our Client. This role is typical of the role she would recruit for, along with roles in Production & Operations, Quality and Engineering.

North West and Global FMCG Manufacturer

Number of candidates: 9 line operatives across 3 shifts

Sector: FMCG

Our client identified a particular unskilled role that would be separated out from permanent worker duties to be done by a fixed PROMAN-managed team.

We introduced a pool of 25 carefully selected individuals who were all then assessed (including medical screening) and inducted, with the successful 9 workers (across 3 shifts) all starting straight after new year.

This recruitment strategy will realise client labour cost savings of more than £150k per year.

Long-standing client (Bakery)

Number of candidates: Evening shift introduction

Sector: FMCG

Our long-standing client recently won a new contract. In order to meet the demand of this exciting opportunity, they would need to find a way of increasing capacity whilst also ensuring that productivity and quality were not compromised.

Following discussions, it was agreed that the most effective way of achieving this objective was to recruit for an evening shift and to train new starters on the existing day shift. This solution took a lot of detailed planning and communication as many of the applicants applied for evenings due to this suiting their personal circumstances. In order to meet the demand of this exciting opportunity, they would need to find a way of increasing capacity whilst also ensuring that productivity and quality were not compromised.

Despite the challenges, within 2 weeks of being notified of this requirement we had 28 fully inducted and trained bakery operatives working on 20 hour per week evening contracts.

The success of this campaign and the confidence our client (and their customer) have in fulfilling this contract has meant that further orders have been received, and as a result an additional 10 operatives will be required.
